How do I use the safety button on my HydroTap G4?
The safety button is a lock feature which is provided to prevent boiling water from flowing from the unit if the hot lever is pressed by accident. This function can be activated (or deactivated) using the safety button and lever on the HydroTap or from the touch screen display on the Command centre.
To activate the Safety Function on the Boiling and Chilled HydroTap:
Step 01: Place one finger on the safety lock.
Step 02: Press the Blue lever and keep both fingers in position for approximately 12 -15 seconds.
Step 03: Look for the "safety lock indicator light" and check it is illuminated to confirm the activation of the safety lock.
To deactivate the Safety Function from the HydroTap:
Step 01: Place one finger on the safety lock.
Step 02: Press the Blue lever and keep both fingers in position for approximately 12 -15 seconds.
Step 03: Look for the "safety lock indicator light" and check it is illuminated to confirm the activation of the safety lock.
On Boiling units that don’t have the blue lever, activate the Safety button from the touch screen:
Step 01: Press the [MENU] button to bring up the main menu.
Step 02: Press the [Setting] button.
Step 03: Press the [Safety] button.
Step 04: At the top of the screen, select "Yes" to allow the safety settings to be changed.
Step 05: On the second line down, next to "Safety Lock", select "Enable".
Step 06: To protect your settings, go back to the top of the screen and select "No". This means your current settings can only be changed by coming back to this screen and selecting "Yes' as in Step 4. Press Home button to advance to Home screen.
